Stepwerk
Stepwerk is a 16 step pattern sequencer for Windows influenced by analogue hardware sequencers and more modern sequencing devices such as the Sequentix P3 and Doepfer Schaltwerk. It is designed for semi-random, improvised music making controlled from external MIDI hardware (a Doepfer Regelwerk in my case).
Please note that development of this software came to an abrupt end when I bought a P3 which does a thousand things more than this does, has a thousand fewer bugs and most importantly of all, has KNOBS.
Features:
- up to 16 steps per sequence
- 4 sequence lines (note, velocity, controller 1 and controller 2) per track
- 8 tracks per pattern
- Static or continual randomising of step data
- realtime MIDI control of all sequence data
- MIDI sync. control for clocking external devices
- ...and the proverbial "much, much more"
System Requirements:
- Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP
- Screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
- Some memory
- A processor
